Latest ChangeWave Research survey, the iPhone market share reaches 30% close to RIM’s 40%.

In a U.S. survey WebOS platform that Palm managed to push his popularity into third place with 7%, which is regarded as a victory for the company because market share is no longer falling off a cliff. The survey was conducted during a week in September of 4255 consumers.

Approximately 39 percent of respondents said they have one, compared to 32 percent at the same time last year. For the future, 36 percent of those surveyed planned to buy the iPhone in the next 90 days, compared with 27 percent for the BlackBerry and 8 percent for the Palm.

There are people with big families that have needs that are much different than those with smaller families, obviously. So when you want to give your children and yourself the benefit of being always connected to the internet and not wanting to have to wait your turn on a desktop and you don’t want to have to hear them fighting over whose turn it is to use the Ethernet connection, then it’s so much better to a wireless network because that way you get to have a certain level of control and you transferring files from one computer or another shouldn’t be a problem.

This isn’t only convenient but it’s also practical on several levels. If you want to show people something on youtube or some other website and would rather not have them move from the living room, then a laptop with internet connection is the best course of action. Some people tend to think that setting up a wireless network is hard. It might be, but it shouldn’t always be that way because no rule in the universe says that everything needs to be hard. It’s been done before and other people have suffered through trial and error often enough to allow you to have an easy time installing yours.

So now I’ll be discussing some of the key things to remember. One of the most important things to remember in setting up your wireless network is the access point or the AP. When you buy your router, make sure that it has this feature because it will give you firewall security and a web-based configuration interface. You should also consider the compatibility of your wireless router with your other devices and the range that it has. Most of the time, your choice shouldn’t really affect the compatibility with the other devices that you get since they are usually compatible, but just be sure to ask the clerk for compatibility to be safe.

When you’re looking for range, it’s best that you get one that is limited to your own home. Your connection might extend to your neighbor’s house and they might take advantage of the free connection that they get from you. So limit the range unless you’re okay with giving your neighbor free internet or anyone within range for that matter. Security isn’t always a feature that comes with the package that you buy so if your signal does extend beyond the reach of your home, a password will help you protect your information. Your neighbors might be the least of your worries because some people that might come across your wireless network will have an easy time going through your traffic and viewing private information that you send across the internet.

Security in your wireless network should be one of your top priorities. When everything is set up, you need to configure all the computers that are going to be within your wireless network. This may be difficult if each of them has different operating systems but it should be no problem if they’re all the same since the steps will be similar. Most computers should be able to connect to the router easily. When you’re trying to secure your wireless network with something other than the use of the resident password, try and consult a technician for the appropriate settings so that he can configure the computers as well.

If you followed the router’s manual then everything should be fine and you’ll soon feel the convenience of having a wifi network at home.

Slow computers are incredibly annoying and frustrating, preventing you from being able to enjoy your PC and use your computer for work. A slow system is a huge problem which affects even the most advanced systems in the World, but is also one of the easiest to fix, if you know how.

You see, the biggest reason why computers run slow is all down to a part of your system called the “registry”. This is a big database which stores all sorts of settings and information about your system, from your latest emails to your desktop wallpaper. The registry basically acts like a huge “memory” for Windows, allowing it to save and recall a variety of different settings even when your PC is turned off and on again. This is a crucial part of Windows, but is also the biggest cause of a slow system.

Unfortunately, the registry is actually one of the most important parts of Windows, and also one of the biggest causes of problems on Windows. This is so because whenever you use your computer, it’s constantly opening and editing 100’s of registry files to help it run in a reliable and smooth way. This is okay, but since there are so many files open at once, Windows is forever getting confused, saving them all in the wrong way. This makes them extremely hard to read, forcing Windows to take longer to read them, slowing it down.

This is actually one of the biggest problems for your PC, and because the registry is never seen (it runs in the “background”), it’s not known by many people. And it might seem hard to comprehend – that a small unseen database can make your PC run slow… but it does. It’s basically like a highway, and each time a registry file is made corrupt, it’s like a car crashing and causing a pileup. The more corrupt registry files you have, the bigger the pileup, and the slower your PC will run.

Fixing this problem is actually very simple. You just need to use a software tool called a “registry cleaner” to go through the registry and fix any problems that are in there. Registry cleaners work by scanning every registry file in the registry database and then fixing any of the corrupt ones they find. And if you can get a good registry cleaner, which can fix and clean the most problems inside your registry, you can make your computer run extremely fast, because all the corrupt registry files that were taking ages to process… will be fixed.

Buying a new laptop can be a daunting task, especially for the novice user who is faced with thousands of different models, specifications and manufacturers! If you are unsure about the type of system you need, how powerful it needs to be and what sort of budget you need to be looking at then read on.

The first thing you need to do when choosing your new laptop is decide what you will be using it for. Picking the correct laptop for your needs will help you save a lot of time and money and will also ensure you have a system that can cope with your demands. Today’s average user needs a system that can easily access the internet, hence wifi is generally considered to be a must and is normally fitted to most of the laptops you will come across. Wifi is a way of accessing the internet wirelessly from your laptop, meaning you can easily access the net from anywhere around your home and even out and about by accessing wireless ‘hotspots’.

Will you be using the laptop to store music, video and picture files? If so you need to look at the hard drive size. The hard drive is the area of your computer that stores information. A standard music file will take up about 1Mb of space, today’s modern laptops are sold with large hard drives, anything up to around 500 Gb. But do you really need something this big? Speaking from experience I have a hard drive of around 40 Gb which is more than enough for me to save music, games, photos etc. Only the really serious users running large photo editing software, the latest games and saving lots of video files need to worry about getting a hard drive over about 60 Gb.

RAM (Random Access Memory) is another specification you will see when looking at laptops. A simple way of thinking of ram is that it effects how quick your laptop will run and do things. For the basic user who is using the internet, saving pictures etc then you will find 1 Gb of ram to be plenty. Your machine will run general operations with no problems at all. Serious gamers need to opt for a lot more ram to run the latest games.

Need to play music from cd’s or burn your tunes onto one? If you do then steer clear of the laptops advertised as ultra portable or compact. These type of machines are intended for accessing the net and files when you are on the move. The systems are very small and lightweight but as a result don’t come with a cd or dvd drive. Useful and convenient if you don’t need to access cd’s or write your own but impractical if you do!

Now we have established the specification of laptop you need for basic use we can look at the budget you will need. You have 2 options available here. You can opt for a brand new unit or you can look at the ever more popular refurbished laptops available. Refurbished units are second user machines that have been fully tested and cleaned to restore them to like new condition. They might have some superficial marks or scuffs but will function like new, and can save you massive amounts on the price of a new machine. A good source for refurbished laptops is an online store such as Eflex Computers they offer a range of new and refurbished models and so you can easily see the difference in prices and make your choice based on this.

For a model like the one we have been discussing, 1.7Ghz Processor, 1 Gb RAM, 40-60 Gb Hard drive, you can expect to pay around £350 for a new model, or choose a refurbished model such as a dell d610 for around £200. Happy shopping!

Nokia E52 that includes the business phone, it is intended to improve the previous generation of the Nokia E51. In addition to the elegant design E52 also looks sleek and lightweight. Its form is not much different with Nokia E51 (candybar). However, E52 is more sleek and a little thinner than previous generations. Nokia E52’s body is made of stainless metal. The back is not slippery.

Not like the Nokia E71 or E61, Nokia E52 using the concept setandar phone keypad, do not use the qwerty keypad. With standard keypad, E52 is comfortable when using office equipment. The model is also quite large keys and soft.

For premium business series phones from nokia, nokia includes the active matrix LCD with 16.7 million colors and 240×320 pixel resolution with 2.4 inch screen dimensions. Nokia E52 using the Symbian operating system S60 v 9.3, 3rd edition feature pack 2. With this operating system the interface much different from the previous generations, Nokia E52 also uses ARM 11 processor with 600MHz clock speed. With this processor the Nokia E52 certainly faster than the Nokia N97 which is only 434 MHz.

As a business phone, E52 is better suited as internet phone. Quickly access data and stable is the main reason. To support office work, E52 not only supports GPRS and EDGE it also support HSDPA. When compared to E51, this mobile data access can reach up to 10.5 Mbps and for upload can reach up to 2Mbps. However, it speed depends on the network and operators.

In addition, E52 HSDPA network can be used for browsing and blogwalking activity. Access via the Nokia browser is comfortable and more stable. Even for a status update on social networks like Facebook and MySpace, the E52 looks more smooth and stable. Even if your hobby watch videos, YouTube client application is included.

Other advantage of the Nokia E52 than E51 is the ability to video call a more optimal. Moreover, E52 front camera equipped with a VGA resolution which can also be used to capture your face.

As the mobile Internet, it’s less if the Nokia E52 does not include GPS. Therefore, Nokia has included GPS already supports A-GPS. For the location we can try the latest application of Nokia that’s OviMaps. Unfortunately the E52 is the voice navigation is sold separately. Overall, the E52 GPS feature reliable enough in travel guiding.

As a business phone, E52 has QuickOffice features. This application can to edit office files like word, Exel, and Powerpoint. Even besides editing can make your new file as in the PC. E52’s QuickOffice supports Office 2007. ZIP applications were ready for use in E52. Satuhal very important is e-mail cilent, at E52 we can create and synchronize your e-mail accounts easily via our Wizard settings. OviMail services can be accessed easily, though not as good as BlackBerry’s.

Connectivity on E52 doesn’t indeed complete as Nokia E51, the shortcomings is not support IrDa. However, WiFi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth v2.0 and microUSB has supported. That performance is good and no problems at all. Such other Nokia business phones, the Nokia E52 using the battery with enough besar power. Strength of the battery is 1500 mAh, with that power, E52 could survive more than 3 days.
