There is Bridgestone Corp will begin its electronic paper (e-paper) business in earnest for electronic book readers, planning to announce the details in July or August 2009. The flexible display market expects applications in concepts of e-newspaper, e-magazine, and e-book to replace newspapers, magazines, and books, and also focus firstly in the e-paper display.

LG Display try to show flexible e-paper display. This company is developing the flexible e-paper display by using metal foil substrates through collaboration with E-ink based on a-Si TFT technology and is planning to manufacture 11.5-inch flexible display products to US-based Hearst Corporation in e-magazine format during 1H’09.
