This is really interesting things that Playboy reveals that Hulu will soon appear on the Digital Video Player Roku already bring Netflix and Amazon VOD. But a close source said that there was no plan to extend services to the Roku.
Then show all the various questions why this does not happen because Hulu does not actually have the interest to challenge head to head with cable companies and other pay TV now. They make relatively little money from online advertising and Hulu. They want you to love Hulu on your computer, and maybe on a mobile phone someday, but not any time soon on your TV (Unless you’re nerdy enough to hook up your laptop). That’s why important cable shows like ESPN’s SportsCenter are nowhere near Hulu, that’s why Hulu’s owners coaxed it to block Boxee, and that’s why a deal to put on Hulu Roku boxes is unlikely.
